Healthcare Career Centers was established in August 2006 by Mrs. Sandra J. Widro, RN, BSN, CCM. and her husband Andrew Widro, LFSC. Mrs. Widro received her BSN from University of Phoenix and has over Forty years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Educator. From July 2004 – May 2006 Mrs. Widro worked as a Health Science teacher at Round Rock High School and Director of the Health Science Department for Round Rock Independent School District. In her capacity as a Health Science teacher, she was responsible for training students as Nurse Aides and preparing them for the state mandated Certified Nurse Aide examination. Prior to her employment with Round Rock High School, she served as a Health Occupations teacher at West Pine Middle School in Sunrise, Florida where she was responsible for teaching students about careers in health care. Before becoming associated with West Pine Middle School, she served as a Utilization Review/Case Management Professional with Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida. While serving in this capacity she achieved her national certification as a Case Manager from the Commission for Case Manager Certification. Her duties with Northwest Medical Center included supervision of Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nurse Aides.
